Primeval Labs just hit us with a MEGA surprise drop with the announcement of "MEGA" High Stim Pre-Workout. Primeval labs jam packed this pre workout with everything you need for the ultimate MEGA pump and all the MEGA energy you can handle. The older version of MEGA was always a big hit with those that loved stimulants and gnarly pumps.

But with the return of this new version, you get all of the same great pumps and performance of the original, only now you get more focus and reportedly a better flavor profile.

With two flavors to start with it should be an easy choice between, Sour Apple Candy or Sour Strawberry Gummy. Lets jump into this supplements facts page and see how the new label looks.

Primeval Labs MEGA Supplement Facts Panel

Much like Ape Sh*t Max and Ape Sh*t Max Pump, MEGA High Stim Pre-Workout is fully loaded. The formulas are similar in the thought process of being the right tool for the right job. But that’s where it stops, this thing is so stacked its split into 1 or 2 scoop options.

L-Citrulline – 6,000mg

L-Citrulline is an amino acid that plays a role in the urea cycle. It increases serum arginine levels; the substrate for nitric oxide production. Consuming L-Citrulline indirectly increases nitric oxide levels and thus promotes vasodilation (blood vessels expanding) and ultimately, enhances blood flow. Enhanced blood flow = more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles and less waste products in them. This increases exercise performance, endurance, and recovery. Clinical dosing is between 4-6 grams.

FIt Butters

Beta Alanine: 3,200mg

Beta-Alanine is an amino acid that plays a role in acid-base balance. When consumed, it binds with histidine to form a compund known as carnosyn: whose primary role is to regulate acid-base balance within skeletal muscle tissue. As you exercise, acid accumulates and will reduce exercise performance. Carnosyn binds to hydrogen ions and “buffers” the increase in acidity; that is, prevents drop in pH. This has been shown to offset fatigue and allows for increased endurance, improved power output, and an overall more intense training session. 2000-5000mg per day is recommended.

Betaine Anhydrous – 2,500mg

Betaine Anhydrous (without water) is a reputable ingredient used in pre-workouts that supports an increased output of exercise performance. Some research suggests that it may also aid in muscle recovery by enhancing muscle protein synthesis. The common feedback is that it can help improve output through strength and power. The 2,500mg dosage is perfect to achieve these results.

L-Tyrosine – 2,000mg

L-Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid (one that the body can produce on its own) and precursor to both our “feel good” neurotransmitter dopamine and noradrenaline. It is one of the most popular nootropic compounds in the supplement industry and has been shown to increase cognition during bouts of acute stress, such as exercising. L-tyrosine will provide a slight euphoric feeling that us gym rats absolutely adore, and it is becoming increasingly common to see supra-therapeutic doses of it in a pre-workout formula. Some products can even reach up to 4,000mg. There also is literature suggesting that L-tyrosine supplementation may be beneficial for weigh management, as it plays a role in thyroid production.

L-Taurine – 1,000mg

Another amino acid highly prevalent in electrically active tissue. Taurine has a wide range of benefits;it is considered an osmoregulator and controls intracellular fluid volume. It also regulates calcium homeostasis; an electrolyte that plays a critical role in muscular contraction. Taurine also plays a role in overall cardiovascular health by promoting vasodilation via reducing production of angiotensin II. By prioritizing the use of fat for fuel, taurine has been shown to enhance endurance training.

Choline Bitartrate – 1,000mg

Cholineis an essential nutrient that plays vital roles in various bodily functions. Choline is crucial for brain health, liver function, metabolism, and nerve signaling. But for our functions here in a pre workout product we really care about its ability to be involved in lipid metabolism, which is the breakdown and utilization of fats for energy. During exercise, especially prolonged or high-intensity exercise, the body relies on both carbohydrates and fats for fuel. Adequate choline levels may support optimal fat metabolism, contributing to sustained energy levels during workouts. Choline is also a precursor to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in muscle contraction and coordination. By supporting acetylcholine synthesis, choline may help maintain muscle function and reduce the risk of fatigue or muscle weakness during exercise. Studies show the average dosage can range from 250mg-500mg per day but more can be utilized.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 250mg

Everyone’s favorite energy-providing, focus enhancing ingredient! This central nervous stimulant is well known throughout the industry; it is the purest caffeine source on the planet and enhances energy levels, focus, thermogenesis, and performance in the gym. It is backed by more studies that I can shake a stick at! And its potentially the most consumed supplement in the world. While there are several forms of caffeine present in most current marketed pre-workouts, caffeine anhydrous is hands down the most popular. And at 250mg you’re not getting a huge dose. That’s less than half of the 700mg max suggested daily usage. But there are other ingredients later that will knock your socks off.

CognatiQ – 100mg

CognatiQ is a brand of cognitive enhancement supplement that contains ingredients like choline bitartrate, which can support cognitive function. While CognatiQ may have benefits for focus, concentration, and mental clarity, it’s not specifically designed for working out or physical performance enhancement. Coffee fruit extract is derived from the fruit of the coffee plant (Coffea arabica), which surrounds the coffee bean. This extract contains a variety of compounds, including antioxidants like chlorogenic acids, phenolic compounds, and caffeine. Unlike the coffee bean, which is commonly used to make coffee therefore you get a potent form of caffeine.

Theobromine – 100mg

Theobromine is usually found in Cocoa products, with that said, it is often paired with Caffeine, due to the fact that they compliment each other and are similar compounds. There is a study, where 24 subjects (women) took a combination of  700mg of Theobromine, combined with Caffeine at 120mg. This study showed that alone, Theobromine was able to lower blood pressure, and when combined with Caffeine, an ingredient known to constrict blood flow, blood pressure was unaffected. Now one of the most sought after benefits from Theobromine is that is has been shown to be beneficial for energy, as it is similar to Caffeine. One thing to mention however, is that it does not appear as if Theobromine affects your sleep like Caffeine does, which is a good thing. According to a study, Theobromine enriched cocoa was shown to be effective in terms of lowering blood pressure when compared to placebo and non-enriched cocoa. This study was done on 42 people with high blood pressure.

Infinergy Dicaffeine Malate – 68mg

Finally we have Infinergy which is a patented form of Dicaffeine Malate, which is a combination of caffeine and malic acid. It’s commonly used as an ingredient in dietary supplements, particularly those designed to support energy, focus, and athletic performance. This slow-releasing form of caffeine provides a sustained release of energy that helps avoid any crash typically experienced with other high-stimulant pre workouts, and ensure you have ample energy to finish your workout and still get work done afterwards.

Toothed Clubmoss Huperzine A 1% – 50mcg

Huperzine A is a known nootropic that complements choline-boosting properties of choline bitartrate mentioned earlier. By stacking Huperzine A with a choline donor, Mega High Stim Preworkout helps promote greater acetylcholine levels via two different pathways, fostering more dialed-in focus and a stronger mind-muscle connection. Studies have shown that doses up to 200mcg per day are effective to accomplish the overall mental clarity we all need.
