Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

  • EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
  • INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
  • 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed Olympus Lyfestyle EAA Drip on five categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the Amino Acid supplement, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

We then look at effectiveness. An effective Amino Acid product will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that Amino Acid will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Bikini Bottom

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 6-8oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. We use the Official Shaker Cup of Fitness Informant, the Ice Shaker.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of Amino Acid products on the market.

Ingredients Profile

(8.5/10)

eaa drip

Here with EAA Drip from Olympus Lyfestlye, we are getting a full-spectrum amino product that aims to assist in recovery. Although they don’t do anything special with this formula, we are given a solid dose of aminos along with an ingredient to help with absorption. We will be using the 2-scoop serving size for this review. Now, let’s break down this profile.

We start off this formula with the patented Vegan Amino9® blend. With 2 scoops of EAA Drip, we are getting 7.4g of amino acids. While we aren’t getting the transparent amount of each amino acid, we are happy to see this well-respected source of aminos we are getting here with Vegan Amino9® from compound solutions.

The Vegan Amino9® blend is a leucine-dominant formula. It has been shown that a leucine-enriched amino acid formula, is able to stimulate muscle protein synthesis just as well as a whey protein when used at rest, and post-exercise.

Alongside a solid dose of EAAs and BCAAs, we are getting AstraGin® for absorption. This ingredient is used to increase the uptake of vitamins, minerals and amino acids into the body. Olympus Lyfestyle has given us 25mg of AstraGin® which it is on par with the clinical dose.

Overall, this is a basic, but very solid, EAA/BCAA product that can help you recover and prepare for your next training session.

Effectiveness

(8.6/10)

The effectiveness of amino products is a little difficult to gauge sometimes. The primary benefit you receive from them is improved muscle recovery, which can be affected by so many variables. It is easiest to tell if a product like this is working when you add it in to a pretty regimented schedule.

We were dieting while using this product, so any improvement in muscle recovery was greatly appreciated. It seemed that during our trial run, we did in fact notice that we were less sore and recovered slightly quicker. EAA Drip was typically sipped on during our workouts, but we occasionally drank them upon waking on an empty stomach.

Taste

Bikini Bottom: (8.8/10)

We haven’t had too many pineapple flavored amino products, but man, this one is pretty good. Olympus Lyfestyle typically does a good job with flavors but they knocked this one out of the park. It is an extremely tropical and fruity flavor that reminds us of a summer time vacation.

This really comes down to whether or not you are a big tropical fruit fan. Pineapple is sort of an uncommon supplement flavor, but it definitely provided a nice mix-up for us during our trial run with EAA Drip.

Mixability

(9.0/10)

It is expected to see some foaming on top after you mix this product, as it is with all amino products. We didn’t really have any problems with the mixing component of EAA Drip. We were able to pretty much get all of the powder to dissolve in solution, with the occasional residue on the sides of the shaker, which is completely expected.

It is important to note that if you are using 2 scoops like we did, you may need to add a bit more water to ensure it mixes well. We found that between 12-16oz works best for a 2 scoop serving size

We used the Official Shaker Cup of Fitness Informant, The Ice Shaker.

Check out the video above for a full mixability test.

Value

(8.5/10)

We are getting 30 servings here with EAA Drip from Olympus Lyfestlye. On their website, it retails for 45$, which is a fair deal. By using the 2-scoop recommendation, you are getting 30 servings at $1.50 per serving.

To further increase the value of EAA Drip, some people may be able to get away with the 1-scoop serving size. That would make this a 60-serving product, with a price per serving of $0.75. We would definitely recommend 2-scoops of this product to ensure you are getting the maximum benefits. With 30-servings, you are still getting a decent value.
