D-Aspartic Acid is an amino acid which is used for increasing testosterone levels in men. Studies on this are inconclusive on its efficacy.

Uses of D-Aspartic Acid (DAA)

D-Aspartic Acid is one of the most well-known ingredients for increasing testosterone. It has researched some extent, however the research varies on its efficacy on increasing testosterone levels in humans.

DAA has been studied and shown to be potentially beneficial for increasing testosterone levels. Subjects had an average increase of 42% in testosterone. This of course is what really got the supplement industry behind DAA.

Unfortunately, there are also studies showing DAA to not be beneficial for anabolic or ergogenic purposes. 

DAA has been shown to be beneficial for fertility purposes. This is a better reason to consider supplementing with DAA.

Now with all of this said, we have to mention that if you are considering testosterone boosters, it may be more worth your while to bring the topic up to your doctor. Getting your levels checked will be more beneficial to you than buying a supplement with mixed research. 

Interactions with D-Aspartic Acid (DAA)

You’ll typically find DAA combined with other ingredients known commonly found in testosterone boosters. You’ll find it combined with ingredients such as DIM, Ashwagandha, Tribulus, and Fenugreek.

Side Effects with D-Aspartic Acid (DAA)

Some side effects with DAA include headaches, irritability, and nervousness. Always talk to your doctor before considering supplementing with D-Aspartic Acid.

Recommended Dose of D-Aspartic Acid (DAA)

A typical dose of D-Aspartic Acid is going to be 3 grams per day. It must be noted that it is a temporary increase, and it has been recommended cycle DAA. Many choose to take DAA for 12 days, followed by a break before supplementing again. 

For fertility purposes, 2.66g was used for a period of 90 days.
