A name like Project Ripped can mean so many different things. Does it mean cutting? Does it mean muscle mass? Why not both? Anabolic Warfare's new Project Ripped, part of their Project Muscle series, is a product that primarily focuses on increasing strength and power while aiding in lean muscle mass gain. The new Project Muscle series from Anabolic Warfare addresses needs on many levels, and Project Ripped addresses muscle output, growth and recovery.
Anabolic Warfare Project Ripped Supplement Facts
Project Ripped is one of the goal-specific formulas from Anabolic Warfare that falls under their new Project Muscle line. It’s main focus is increasing muscle mass through strength and power gains.
It starts the 750mg of D-Aspartic Acid. This is one of the most common ingredients used in testosterone boosters. D-Aspartic Acid has many studies on the ability of this ingredient to raise test levels, but there isn’t 100% conclusive evidence of such. Per this study subjects had an average increase of 42% in testosterone. This of course is what really got the supplement industry behind DAA. DAA has been shown to be beneficial for fertility purposes. This is a better reason to consider supplementing with DAA. Dosing can be up to 3g per day to see a benefit. Users may need to take 2x servings per day of Project Ripped to get an adequate amount of DAA or stack it with another Project Muscle product to get an adequate dosage.
Smilax Extract aka Laxogenin is dosed at 500mg. Smilax Extract has been said to be similar to testosterone, but let the record show it is not. It may have a similar type of impact by increasing muscle protein synthesis.
Smilax converts to laxogenin in the body. The conversion is 10%. At a dosage of 500mg, you are getting 50mg of laxogenin in the body.
The extract from Smilax (Laxogenin) is known to be a brassinosteroid. Brassinosteroids have been shown to have anabolic effects.
Per a study conducted on rodents, brassinosteroids was shown to stimulate protein synthesis and inhibit protein degradation, which lead to increased food intake, body weight gain, lean body mass, and gastrocnemius muscle mass as compared with vehicle-treated controls.
Regarding protein synthesis, the rebuilding of muscle tissue, one study indicated that Laxogenin can increase protein synthesis by up to 200%. More studies need to be conducted to validate these claims.
We typically see dosages of this type of ingredient at 100-200mg per day. We get an effective dosage of 50mg.
RIPFACTOR, is a trademarked ingredient from PLT Health Solutions. RipFACTOR is dosed at 325mg. RipFACTOR is a blend of extracts from two well-known botanicals. Per PLT Health, users can see significant results in just 14-days including improved muscular endurance, improved upper and lower body strength as well as improved muscle size. The studies conducted to come to the results of up to 2x greater muscular endurance, up to 4x improvement in muscle size, up to 5.6x improvement in upper body strength and up to 5x greater in lower body strength was the results of a 650mg dose of RipFACTOR, which is double what we get in Project Cuts. RipFACTOR has been shown to improve blood flow, activate mTOR, and enhance MPS and muscle cell growth.
Diindolylmethane (DIM for short) is a molecule found in foods such as broccoli, kale, and cauliflower. It is commonly added to testosterone boosters and anti-estrogen products due to its aromatase inhibiting properties. DIM is dosed at 200mg in Project Ripped. DIM has been a good ingredient used to support healthy estrogen levels. Studies at a level of 300mg of DIM proved to help regulate estrogen levels in those with thyroid issues. Studies on dosing have it safe up to 300mg per day, but was optimal at 200mg without adverse effects.
7-Keto DHEA is dosed at 100mg. This ingredient has been shown to boost metabolism and increase weight loss. 7-Keto DHEA is non-hormonal. A typical dosage of 7-Keto DHEA is 200-400mg total daily, split into dosages of 100-200mg at a time.
Acacetin is dosed at 50mg. This ingredient has been shown to suppress aromatase activity. Research also suggests that Acacetin relieved endothelial dysfunction, which non-obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) in which there are no heart artery blockages, but the large blood vessels on the heart’s surface constrict (narrow) instead of dilating (opening). Dosage varies, but our research suggests 25-50mg per day is sufficient.
7-Methoxyflavone, an aromatase inhibitor, is dosed at 25mg. This is very similar to Acaetin above. The issue with both of these in bioavailability as shown to be poor however a study showed that not to be the case. There is no optimal dosage.
Lastly, BioPerine is used at 5mg to aid in absorption.
Final Takeaway
You will see a common theme across this line that they are best served when stacked with another product in the series. For example, Project Ripped and Project Cuts work very well together as they have crossover ingredients where you'd get a more adequate dosage of certain ingredients. All-in-all, I think this is a great line when you combine 2-3 SKUs together for the most impact.
