Overview of Muscle Elements Amino PM

Muscle Elements is one of those brands that is big, but small at the same time. What do I mean by this? It means they have a lot of products, but are not found everywhere online. That’s not a bad thing. Create something people want and they will find out.

Amino PM is a sleep/recovery agent from Muscle Elements using BCAAs, EAAs and other aminos, mixed with muscle recovery agents and sleep agents to help repair muscles while you get to a REM situation with your sleep. This is a solid formula with a multitude of benefits. If you want to have a great night’s sleep while improving your body composition, Amino PM is a good choice for you.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed Muscle Elements Amino PM on four categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the ingredients used in the making of this sleep aid supplement.

We look into each ingredients effective use and determine if it was a quality selection for the product. The main thing here is are the ingredients used correct and is the dosage correct?

Then we look at taste. We know this is important in a supplement. We were able to test out Pineapple Mango.

We then will look into the mixability of this product. Does it mix well? Clump? Watch the video for a demo!

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of ingredients, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of sleep aid supplements on the market.

Ingredients Profile


This is quite the ingredient deck. So without wasting time, let’s dive into it.

We start with the Multi-stage mTOR & Recovery Elements section. We get 2.5g of L-Leucine. This is the BCAA responsible for turning they key and starting the engine for mTOR. Glutamine is used at 1.5g. This helps with muscle repair, but also with gut health.

We then get into the EAA & Uptake Elements. We get 1.69g of EAAs (along with 2.5mg of Bioperine for uptake). This helps feed our bodies while we sleep and promotes muscle repair and growth. EAAs are a hot subject these days, and when taken on an empty stomach they can provide major benefits.

We then dive into the Anabolic Growth & REM Elements. We get 500mg of GABA. This helps promote HGH secretion while you sleep. GABA should be dosed between 3-5g – so it would require a lot more to be beneficial. L-Arginine HCl is dosed at 500mg. This is used for NO production, but studies have shown it to help with sleep. L-Ornithine HCl is also used at 500mg. A study here shows that it can increase sleep quality (especially when you drink.)

Mind & Mood Support Elements is next. This includes L-Glycine at 500mg. This can improve sleep by reducing stress and allowing you to focus before bed. Mucana Pruriens is used at 125mg. This is a good source of L-Dopa, which is the “feel good” feeling we get when something makes us happy. Lastly, we get Acetyl-L-Carnitine HCl at 100mg. This transmits fatty acids to be burned off as energy. Odd to see it here, plus the dosage is so low it won’t do a ton.

Adrenal Support Elements is next. This consists of Ashwagandha Root at 150mg. Ashwagandha can relieve stress and help boost testosterone. A minimum of 600mg should be used (using two scoops will get you 300mg). Avena Sativa Extract is used at 100mg. This helps improve cognitive function and libidio. Last we get Licorice Root Extract at 50mg. This has been shown to reduce stress.

Lastly, we get the PowerDown Elements. We get 500mg L-Tryptophan. This increases Melatonin (the next ingredient) and improves sleep quality. Melatonin is used at 1.5mg. With two scoops you get 3mg. A solid dosage to help improve sleep quality.

Overall, a good recovery profile. There is a lot in here, not sure you need it all, and everything is not sufficiently dosed (i.e. GABA) but it has great qualities.

Amino PM label



For me, I am a bigger fan of ingredients like Phenibut to help with sleep, but many love Melatonin. At the end of the day, I wanted to use this product to help with sleep quality. The better sleep you get, the more your body can effectively recovery. The amino acids used in this product are nice as well, but some of the ingredients, although are pretty on the label, are not dosed sufficiently to provide benefits.

So, does it help you sleep? In short, yes. The one issue you may find yourself running into, depending on the amount of water you use, you might have to get up to pee the liquid you just drank. However, you get to fall asleep and can get to REM, especially if Melatonin works well for you.


Pineapple Mango: (6/10)

I love citrus flavored powders. However, I didn’t love this one. It had a weird aftertaste to me. The flavor was Pineapple Mango…I didn’t really pick up either flavor. If any, more pineapple than mango (wish it was the other way around). I would use two scoops so the flavor was a bit stronger than just a single scoop. Overall, not terrible awful, but definitely not one of the best.



Amino acids are not soluble in water. So do not expect this to fully dissolve in your liquid. Check out the video for the full mixability test. You can see for yourself – there are several darker particles that are seen floating. However, your job isn’t to “sip” this…it is to chug. The mixability shouldn’t be a huge issue.



The label will say 40-servings, but to be truly effective, you want to take two scoops which makes this a 20-serving container. This retails for over $40. In my personal opinion, there are other options out there which promote sleep quality for much cheaper. Yes, this gives you aminos and other ingredients, but it isn’t completely necessary if you are on a proper diet. You can buy Phenibut pills for $20 and you get a great night sleep. Melatonin is fairly cheap as well at your local grocery store.
