Core Nutritionals Core Hard

The option lose fat while gaining muscle seems attractive to pretty much an entire population. This concept is caused "recomposition". Body recomposition is an approach to weight loss that emphasizes the importance of not only losing fat but gaining muscle at the same time. Core Nutritionals created CORE HARD, both in a capsule format and powder, to aid in your body recomposition process.

This begs the question, is body recomposition a real thing? The short answer is maybe. Obese people who workout for the very first time have a much easier job of accomplishing body recomposition. They tend to lose fat while gaining muscle relatively quickly. Those individuals who are already fairly lean - but want to lose a few extra pounds - tend to find it more difficult.

The best body recomposition success stories happen when people follow a strict diet plan and supplement with the appropriate ingredients. Core Nutritionals CORE HARD is a nice add-on to those who are already following a strict diet and workout routine.

Then this begs the question: which version of Core Nutritionals CORE HARD is right for me? Great question, and one that we're about to tackle!

Core Nutritionals CORE HARD

Before we can discuss the differences between the two versions of Core Nutritionals CORE HARD, we need to provide clarification of what CORE HARD is. Maybe it is easier to say what CORE HARD is not. CORE HARD is not a miracle pill or drug. It is a supplement that is meant to supplement a healthy diet and exercise plan that MAY help in losing body fat and gaining muscle.

Core Nutritionals Core Hard Capsules

Core Nutritionals makes their CORE HARD in a convenient capsule for those who don’t like powders or prefer the convenience of capsules. It is important to note that the formulas between the two are slightly different.

Core Nutritionals CORE HARD Caps SFPCore Nutritionals CORE HARD capsules starts with 600mg of the branded KSM66 Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha has been shown to help regulate cortisol levels and potentially elevate natural testosterone levels. By controlling cortisol levels you may reduce the action of storing fats. By increasing testosterone, you may support more anabolic activity in the body.

Phosphatidyl Serine 50% is dosed at 500mg. This can aid in cognitive function – the ability to focus and improved memory. It has also been shown to potentially reduce cortisol levels as well.

L-Theanine is used at 300mg. This can help with mood elevation.

DIM is dosed at 200mg. DIM can help regulate estrogen levels. You want to ensure, during a recomp, that your testosterone levels stay relatively high and your estrogen levels stay low (especially if you’re a male). A dosage of 100mg would be sufficient, but 200mg is solid.

Cocoabuterol is dosed at 100mg. This is a branded version of theobromine. This is a metabolite of caffeine. This can aid in potential fat loss through increased stimulatory impact on the central nervous system. It may also elevate body temperature for thermogenesis.

The total serving size of Core Nutritionals CORE HARD capsules is 3 capsules which is 1,700mg of total active ingredients.

Core Nutritionals Core Hard Extreme Powder

The alternative to Core Nutritionals CORE HARD capsules is the brand’s CORE HARD Extreme powder. The word “extreme” may throw some people off, but it comes back to an understanding of the supplement facts panel to determine what “extreme” means to you.

Core Nutritionals Core Hard ExtremeWhile Core Nutritionals CORE HARD Extreme contains some of the same ingredients as the capsule version, there are differences.

Core Nutritionals CORE HARD Extreme also starts with 600mg KSM-66 Ashwagandha. As mentioned prior this may aid in boosting natural testosterone levels and regulating cortisol levels.

Phosphatidyl Serine 50% is also dosed at 500mg. This is the same as the capsule version.

Pomegranate Extract, standardized to 40% ellagic acid, is dosed at 500mg. This is an ingredient only f0und in the Extreme version. Ellagic Acid has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is found naturally in fruits and nuts.

White Button Mushroom Extract (30% polysaccharides) is dosed at 500mg. Also not available in the capsule version. These can boost your body’s immune system and are known for their anti-inflammatory properties.

The remaining ingredients, L-Theanine, DIM and Cocobuterol, are all dosed exactly the same as the Core Nutritionals CORE HARD capsules.

The total actives in Core Nutritionals CORE HARD Extreme is 2,700mg – which is 1g more than the capsule version.

Core Nutritionals CORE HARD Capsules vs. CORE HARD Extreme Powder

So, which one should you buy? Core Nutritionals lists CORE HARD capsules on their website for $49.99 and CORE HARD Extreme powder on their website for $55.99. The serving size of both are 28-days. With CORE HARD Extreme you are getting an extra gram of ingredients that aid in anti-inflammatory properties, as well as potential for immune boost and metabolic support. It really comes down to you and your budget. CORE HARD capsules will work just fine and will be a nice addition to proper diet and exercise plan. If you can spare a few more dollars, than CORE HARD Extreme is a great option as you get a full gram of additional ingredients that can aid in overall health.

At the end of the day, you cannot go wrong with either version.

Final Takeaway

I like this kind of product if your budget allows for it. It is not a necessary but it is a nice to have. Core Nutritionals puts a lot of thought behind their formulations. When you recomp you are putting a lot of stress on your body as you're in a caloric deficit so you want to keep test levels high to aid in recovery and the ability to turn some of that "fat" into "muscle". If you can afford this, then I would say jump on it. You would need a minimum of two bottles to see results, in my opinion.
