OhYeah! ONE Bar

  • Great Flavors
  • Awesome Taste
  • Texture is Great

  • If Old, Chalky

Overview of OhYeah! ONE Bars

ISS Research makes a lot of different products for the sports nutrition industry. They do brand most of their products under the OhYeah! umbrella but they also carry other items like Victory Bars which are very popular.

ISS Research hit gold with their OhYeah! ONE Bars. It was the first bar to come in and shift away market share from QUEST Bars, and rightfully so. ONE Bars leveraged a down-time in QUEST Bars history by introducing a new similar stellar ingredient profile bar with better taste and texture than the counterparts.

Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed OhYeah! ONE Bars on four categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at quality of protein used in the protein bars and amount, macros and other ingredients involved in the making of this protein bar.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to try the following flavors: Birthday Cake, Chocolate Birthday Cake, Almond Bliss, Lemon Cake, Blueberry Cobbler and Maple Glazed Donut.

Texture is important in protein bar selection. We review the texture as well. We discuss chalkiness, chewiness, softness and crunch.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, taste and texture in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of protein bars available on the market.

Ingredients Profile

OhYeah! ONE Bar utilizes protein isolates as the main source of protein in the bar. You get whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate (80% casein and 20% whey). This is a benefit over some of the competitors as others like to use just a concentrate or a milk protein. ONE Bars use whey protein isolate.

The Macros
Calories: 220
Fats: 7g
NET Carbs (Carbohydrates – Fiber – Sugar Alcohol): 5g
Protein: 21g

ONE Bars have one of the best macro profiles in the protein bar game. They are able to pack in 20g of protein while keeping your net carbs at only 5g. These are bodybuilding friendly and part of the reason they have become so popular. Their ingredient profile is very similar to that of QUEST Bars.

ONE Bar label

Birthday Cake: (8/10)
Chocolate Birthday Cake: (6/10)
Almond Bliss: (8/10)
Lemon Cake: (5/10)
Blueberry Cobbler: (10/10)
Maple Glazed Donut: (8/10)

ONE Bars are one of the best tasting protein bars on the market. They use a thin layer of coating, whether it be white chocolate or chocolate. Sometimes you also get sprinkles all wrapped up in a delicious tasting protein bar. You won’t even know you’re eating a protein bar. You will feel like you are cheating but in reality you’re not, you’re just enjoying a ONE Bar. We are big fans of the Blueberry Cobbler…you need to try them!

OhYeah! ONE Bars have a great texture to go along with it’s taste. They are soft and chewy. It does not take a lot of work to take a bite out of it. It does not stick to your teeth either like some protein bars do. There is not much of a chalky feeling with these either. It kind of feels like you’re eating a day old cake (not as soft as a fresh cake but not hard either).

OhYeah ONE Bars are priced right in the market. You get 12 bars for around $25 which is standard in the industry. Because you are getting a higher quality protein bar this becomes a better value to you as the consumer. I would spend $25 on a high quality protein bar over a lower quality protein bar, wouldn’t you?
