Ingredients Profile
[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I am a big fan of Phenibut. This is a mushroom that helps aleviate stress, relax you and puts you to sleep when dosed at a certain amount. We will get into that more in a second, but this well-rounded profile consists of several key ingredients.We first start with 1g of GABA. GABA helps alleviate anxiety and allows us to relax. A lot of the reasons we cannot sleep is because there are too many things on our mind. For optimal dosage on growth hormone production, we’d like to see 3,000-5,000 mg. For sleep, anything above 500mg is great.
Next, we get 1,000mg of Glycine. Glycine has been used to treat sleep disorders. The recommended dosage of Glycine for sleep is 3-5g. We come in short here.
L-Trytophan is next at 1,000mg. This is essentially what causes us to get tired when we over eat. When we take in Trytophan, it is converted into niacin which then creates serotonin – which makes you sleepy. You need roughly 1-2g of Trytophan to induce sleep. We get 1g here.
L-Citrulline is used next at 500mg. You may not know this, but NO production actually can help you achieve a deep REM sleep. I would argue that 500mg is not going to be enough to elicit NO production of any purpose to induce this, however.
L-Theanine is used next at 500mg. This helps reduce stress, enhance mood and treat anxiety. This, along with GABA, work well together to help you relax – to allow you to fall asleep. At 500mg this is quite the dosage. We’re impressed.
Phenibut is dosed at 250mg. This dosage typically allows you to focus, 500mg and up puts you to sleep. I would start with 250mg to assess your tolerance, but you could increase over time. I will warn you, do not take this daily, it can be addictive.
We then get 200mg of 5-HTP. This is the precursor to serotonin, the molecule that makes us tired from over eating. The recommended dosage is 300-500mg. We are a little underdosed here but we are paired with other ingredients so at 200mg we should be fine.
Lastly we get 5mg of Melatonin. This is your typical OTC ingredient to help us sleep. This may be the reason why Phenibut is at 250mg…plus Phenibut affects everyone differently.
Overall, a good product. Effectiveness

It is not the best of all time sleep aid, in my opinion, as I do wake up from time-to-time during the night when taking this. However, for the most part, you achieve a solid REM sleep to get a good 6-8hrs, which is needed for muscle recovery.Prior to bed, you feel relaxed and can focus on what you want to do: sleep. Your mind erases the troubles of the day and you can just get the sleep you need and deserve.

This isn’t too sour, so to call it sour candy may be a stretch, but it is a good tasting powder. It is a little tart with a tad candy/sweet taste to it. You don’t want to use a lot of water because the more water you drink prior to bed, the more you may have to wake up to piss – or worse – piss your pants.It does mix well in approximately 6oz of water with some residue at the bottom of the glass. A lot of the powdered sleep aids are now retailing for $40 and up – same servings. I like the fact that this uses Phenibut and Trytophan, along with a little Melatonin and a good dosage of Theanine. I would like more GABA but in the end, you could double scoop this for a deep deep sleep. For mid-30s, I feel this is a good sleep agent, especially for those just starting out. Phenibut is not too high where you can access your tolerance.
