Overview of SteelFit Steel Dreams

SteelFit is known for their fat loss capsules and topicals, but they make other supplements to attract other crowds of buyers. That includes pre-workout, whey protein, pump activators and sleep aids.

Steel Dreams is the sleep aid fro SteelFit that allows you to get a good night's rest and achieve REM. It is not as strong as a phenibut based sleep aid, but that can be a good thing for those who find phenibut too strong. If straight melatonin isn't cutting it, give Steel Dreams a shot to put you to sleep for the night.

Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

  • EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
  • INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
  • 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed SteelFit Steel Dreams on three categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile and dosage. This portion of the review looks at the ingredients used in the making of this product. We look into each ingredients effective use and determine if it was a quality selection for the product. On top of that, we look to see if proper dosages are being used. It is one thing to use cool ingredients, it's another if they are using them appropriately.

We then look at effectiveness. This is generally an extension of the profile and dosage section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be. With sleep aids, you should get a great sleep and wake up feeling refreshed - this is part of the effectiveness.

Finally, we look at value. Value is the combination of the ingredients/dosage, effectiveness, price and comparison products on the market. If the produce is dosed well, with quality ingredients and available at a fair price, the product would be considered valuable.

Steel Dreams Label

Many sleep aids on the market today are similar with different doses of like ingredients to “differentiate” them from each other.

With Steel Dreams we start with a staple in the SteelFit brand, 300mg KSM-66 Ashwaganhda. This helps improve natural testosterone levels, but in terms of a sleep aid, it helps alleviate stress and anxiety allowing us to get calm before bed. For test boosting we want this at 600mg, but for this purpose 300mg is sufficient. L-Theanine, known for relaxation and mood enhancement is dosed at 200mg. This is a great dosage of Theanine as it is typically dosed at 100mg. Valerian Root Powder is dosed at 150mg. Valerian Root Powder is used for sleep disorders and is typically dosed at 400-900mg. Chamomile Powder is dosed at 150mg. This is used for its calming abilities. This is typically dosed between 400-1,600mg per day. Lemon Balm Extract is dosed at 100mg. This is used for calming and is typically dosed between 300-600mg. Rutaecarpine is dosed at 100mg. This is a “warming” ingredient that has been shown to aid in fat loss; there is not a standard dosage. 5-HTP is dosed at 100mg. This is used for sleep disorders but is dosed typically at 150mg up to 3x per day. Passion Flower Extract is dosed at 100mg as well. This has been shown to reduce anxiety and have a calming effect. Standard dosages are 400mg twice a day. Venetron is dosed at 50mg. This is a branded ingredient shown to help with sleep and mood support. The dosage supported is 50mg-150mg per day. Lastly, Melatonin is dosed at 1mg which helps us fall to sleep. This is typically seen at 5mg.

I think what they did here was take a lot of proven sleep aids but didn’t give us full doses of one to allow them to work in synergy to create a perfect sleep environment. I am more of a fan of getting full dosages of a few ingredients versus minimal dosages of many. There are not studies to verify that a reduction in ingredient X because of ingredient Y is correct.

With that said, this is a formula with proven ingredients. Several of the ingredients that stand out to me as impactful are Theanine, KSM-66 and Ventron. Those are dosed decently.

Effectiveness

With all those ingredients, does this stuff actually work? That’s the big question. The answer is yes. You do get a good night sleep and do not wake up groggy. It does not work as well as a phenibut based product BUT those do not sit well with some people. You are able to fall asleep rather quickly and stay asleep, that is key. Regarding REM, you can get there, but I feel I get there more often with phenibut based products, but again, you still get a good night’s rest. Long story short, this can help you get the most out of your sleep.

Value

(9.0/10)

I have had the luxury have trying many sleep aids that work well and they all range from $40-$50 for 30-servings. SteelFit Steel Dreams retails for $30 for 30-servings, and with the INFORMANT coupon code you save 10%. This makes this a more valuable sleep aid. If you are looking for a sleep aid that doesn’t contain the strong ingredient phenibut, this is a solid value for you.
