Overview of BlackMarket Labs FIT

FIT is a preworkout supplement from BlackMarket Labs. It is a stim-based preworkout meant to provide energy and endurance to the user.

FIT takes a different approach than many other pre-workouts in that is has no pump ingredients, such as Citrulline or Nitrosigine®. With that said, FIT provides a solid boost of energy and endurance that should satisfy anyone, while providing a good taste at a decent value.

Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

  • EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
  • INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
  • 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed BlackMarket Labs Fit on five categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pre-workout supplement, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

RYSE

We then look at effectiveness. An effective pre-workout product will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that pre-workout will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: WODermelon

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 6-8oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. We use the Official Shaker Cup of Fitness Informant, the Ice Shaker.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pre-workout products on the market.

Ingredients Profile

(7.7/10)

blackmarket fit

Black Market Labs’ FIT is divided up into 3 major blends:

Endurance and VO2 Max Complex

Power Complex

Energy and Focus Complex

Electrolyte Blend

Endurance and VO2 Max Complex at 5205mg is comprised of Beta Alanine, Cordyceps, Reishi, King Trumpet, shiitake, lion’s mane, PEAK O2™, and BioPerine™.

Beta alanine is useful for boosting endurance, as well as overall workout performance. Efficacious doses are typically 3.2g, which is what Black Market Labs has put in FIT.

Cordyceps, shiitake, and lion’s mane are mushrooms that have a wide range of uses, but most notably anti-inflammatory properties.

PEAK O2™ improves VO2 max, increases time to exhaustions, and helps enhance power output.

Last but not least, BioPerine™ increases the bioavailability of the ingredients.

The Power Complex (4800mg) is comprised of creatine monohydrate, betaine anhydrous, and 300mg Alpha GPC (50%). Creatine monohydrate, one of the most studied ingredients, helps increase ATP production during exercise. Betaine anhydrous helps increase power output and workout capacity.

Energy and Focus Complex (451mg) is theobromine, caffeine anhydrous, and mucuna L-dopa. Straight forward with  theobromine and 200mg of caffeine anhydrous as your stimulants, and some L-Dopa to help you feel good.

Overall the ingredients profile isn’t bad, despite there being no real “pump” ingredients. However, given who this product was originally intended for, that makes sense. Still, there are things in here that feel like they’re taking up space.

Effectiveness

(8.0/10)

Given what FIT is and who it was originally intended for, FIT performed quite well.

Energy was solid and clean, while there was enough there to provide an adequate focus boost. The ingredients geared towards enhancing endurance and workout capacity don’t necessarily get a chance to shine, but they are noticed nonetheless.

Of course, we did not noticed much in terms of pump, however it does not appear that FIT was going for that. Top to bottom, FIT is a pre workout that will get the job done most days out of the week.

Taste

WODermelon: (8.0/10)

WODerMelon was overall a solid flavor. With watermelon being such a common flavor, we have to admit that there are som bette rout there, however FIT certainly did not taste bad by any means and was even enjoyable.

Mixability

(8.5/10)

One rounded scoop at 12.5mg is one serving, and it will mix up for the most part. You are left with more than some particles and residue at the bottom, which is to be expected.

We used the Official Shaker Cup of Fitness Informant, The Ice Shaker.

Check out the video above for a full mixability test.

Value

(8.0/10)

At $49.99 a tub (25 servings, $1.99/serving), is pretty much par for the course. While competitively priced, FIT doesn’t necessarily pack the punch it’s competitors might. You won’t overpay for FIT, but there are better values out there. If you use coupon code INFORMANT, you get 15% off, thus making it much more reasonable. Not our first pick for a pre, but certainly not going to break the bank.
