Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed Performax Labs Vasomax on five categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pump supplement, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

We then look at effectiveness. An effective pre-workout will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Tropical Splash.

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pump products on the market.

Ingredients Profile

I am a big fan of the use of Glycerol Powder aka HydroMax aka GlycerPump in pump products and pre-workout supplements. Vasomax uses 3,000mg of GlycerPump (65% Glycerol Powder) which has been shown to increase the pump throughout your workout. According to, Glycerol Powder increases concentration of fluid in blood and tissues, thus giving you the pump. Many other pump supplements are using Glycerol Powder but not at dosages of 3,000mg. Most come in at 1.5-2g. Solid dosage.

You also get 810mg of Potassium Nitrate (MaxNOx). Potassium Nitrate is another pump inducing ingredient we saw in HemaVO2 Max…but it wasn’t fully disclosed there…it is here. You can buy Potassium Nitrate supplements, but even their dosage is not near 810mg. Again, another great dosage.

Rutaecarpine has been used in Chinese medicine to increase body temps. We have it dosed here at 40mg, which might not show a lot of effect.

Finally, the pump complex is rounded out with 10mg of GSNO. GSNO also known as S-Nitrosoglutathione, is a NO builder in the body. There is not a lot of research on the correct dosage for NO production that we could find.

You also get a Focus complex as part of this pump product, which is just fantastic. You start with 300mg of Alpha-GPC (this is within the optimal dosage range). A lot of pre-workouts contain this ingredient now, but not at this dosage. This is a great dosage of A-GPC to help improve your drive and focus.

You also get 25mg of Sceletium Tortuosum which is stress reducer (allows you to focus). Optimal dosage is 8-25mg. Look at that…you are getting the high-end of the optima dosage.

Finally, get get 10mg of Huperzine-A. Huperzine-A is a defender against cognitive decline. This helps improve memory and learning. Dosages are optimal at 5-20mg. We get a nice dosage of 10mg here.

Overall, this is one of the best pump profiles we will see. You can always increase the Glycerol Powder (we’ve seen it as high as 6,000mg) and Alpha-GPC (this can be as high as 600mg) but for an affordable pump powder, this is right on.

One nice thing about Vasomax is that it doesn’t make any extraneous claims on the container label. It’s a non-stimulant/caffeine free pump powder. A pump product should increase vascularity (on some…this is also dependent on body fat and genetics), muscle size and exercise endurance.

With Vasomax, I experienced increased muscle size and endurance. The more fluids that are transported into your tissue (muscle is tissue) the bigger they will look, but also the more that can be used to prolong exhaustion. Vasomax does a great job with both of these components, one of the best.

Vasomax goes a step further with their focus factor in the product. The inclusion of Alpha-GPC is apparent. You are laser focused on the task at hand. The combination of a great focus with awesome endurance can go a long way for your gains.

This is a pump supplement I can truly say is effective and worth the money.

Tropical Splash: (9/10)

How can you hate on anything tropical? Tropical Splash flavor was delightful. It even tastes well with other flavors of pre-workout powders. You get a little bit of a tart bite to it, but it definitely tastes tropical and tastes great.

One serving of Vasomax is 5.7g. This is nice for a pump supplement. It also makes it great for solubility in water. Using a traditional shaker cup and 6oz of water, you can get the powder to almost fully dissolve after several shakes. Like with most powders, you may get a bit of residue at the bottom, but drink up.

The price tag on Vasomax is around $35. I understand a lot of people buy a pump powder as an add-on to their pre-workout. A good pre-workout may run almost $40. It’s hard to justify $75 for a pre-workout stack, I get it. Vasomax gives you 25-servings, effective servings, so you can justify a premium price. It ends up being about $1.40 per serving.

You have to remember that you’re getting more than just a pump. You also have the cognitive enhancing function of the supplement. You are getting two birds, for one stone. Combined with a good pre-workout, these will be the best workouts you have.

I find value in an effective product that isn’t priced out of this world. That’s what you’re getting with Vasomax.
