Testing Results and Ratings
We reviewed KLOUT PWR Realm on five categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pump supplement, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.
We then look at effectiveness. An effective pump product will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages. This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that pre-workout will be.
Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Sunshine.
Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 10-12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. See video above for the full test.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pump products on the market.
Ingredients Profile
One thing I really like about KLOUT PWR is that they don’t overcomplicate their formulas. That includes REALM, their non-stim pre-workout.
The formula is a 20-serving formula. Each serving is a massive 19g serving.
The formula starts with 6g L-Citrulline. Citrulline is the precursor to Arginine. Arginine then is converted to Nitric Oxide which increases blood flow.
GlyerSize Glycerol is used at 3g. The powdered version of glycerol tends to clump, so you will see that. We like glycerol in the double digits – which would require this to be a liquid. Yes, there may be some slight benefit of holding liquid in the cells, but not as much benefit as a liquid version of glycerol.
Agmatine Sulfate is dosed at 1500mg. This is a great dosage of an ingredient that has been shown to improve cognition as well as blood flow through increased nitric oxide production.
L-Arginine is used at 1,500mg. Honestly I would leave this completely out of the formula. Arginine has terrible bioavailability. At 1.5g you most likely aren’t getting much benefit from it.
L-Ornithine HCL is dosed at 1,500mg. This can help improve exercise endurance by reducing ammonia concentrations in the blood.
Sodium Nitrate as NO3-T is dosed at 1g. This is the “best” form of NO3-T as it yields the most nitrates. This is going to increase blood flow.
The last ingredient is AstraGin for absorption.
Overall I love the use of NO3-T Sodium Nitrates for blood flow and the 6g Citrulline. I would have liked to see a vasodilation ingredient(s) used in this to target all three pathways.
Effectiveness
Reading about ingredients can be nerdy – we get it. So the question is does this work? Of course you’re going to get an increase in blood flow from the use of 6g Citrulline, 1.5g Agmatine Sulfate and 1g NO3-T. No doubt. So yes, it does work. You have bigger fuller pumps. We do feel that if a few more ingredients were added or KLOUT PWR removed Arginine and Glycerol for something like Pine Bark it would benefit both the formula and the user.
Taste
Sunshine:
Sunshine, although it doesn’t describe much, is a good flavor. It is a tropical flavor but I am not sure what flavors exist in it. I get some orange – almost Sunny D esk. It is a bit sweeter than Sunny D but still good. I like my “beach” flavors with more tart than sweet, but we are sure most of you reading this will like this flavor.
Mixability
Mixability on Realm, at 19g serving size, is really solid. If you view the video above you can see that there is not many particles in the water. You might even see that there is some clumping before mixing, and once we mix there are not any issues with clumping. We did 8oz of water in a traditional shaker cup without the agitator.
Value
KLOUT PWR does a good job of pricing their products. This is a 20-serving that retails for $46. However, if you use code INFORMANT you save 15%, making this less than $40 which is less than $2 per serving. It is a solid value, especially a formula with nitrates. The flavoring is solid and you will get the benefits in which you are seeking.
