Overview of Juice Labz Juice Pumpz

Juice Labz is an up and coming brand that has begun making some noise in the supplement industry with solid formulas and unique and attractive branding. The Juice Labz culture seeks not only to target the fitness and bodybuilding industry, but all other active and competitive sports.

Juice Pumpz is a stim-free product that has a profile that completely focuses on pump. We are not getting any focus or cognitive ingredients, which undermines Juice Pumpz ability to be a suitable standalone preworkout supplement. However, it does have a solid formula that could be a great addition to any preworkout stack.

Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

  • EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
  • INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
  • 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed Juice Labz Juice Pumpz on five categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pump supplement, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

We then look at effectiveness. An effective pump product will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that pump will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Watermelon

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 6-8oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. We use the Official Shaker Cup of Fitness Informant, the Ice Shaker.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pump products on the market.

Ingredients Profile

(8.6/10)

juice labz pumps

Juice Pumpz starts out with 4g of L-Citrulline. This ingredient is used to enhance blood flow by vasodilation, which also can have a benefit on muscular endurance as well. We like seeing this ingredient dosed between 3 and 5 grams. GlycerPump™ (glycerol powder) is a patented ingredient that we love here at FI. We like seeing it dosed around 1g and above, and Juice Labz is giving us 2g here. Glycerol powder has a mechanism that induces pumps by creating cellular hyperhydration that fuels your tissue with fluid during your workout, therefore improving endurance and possibly power and overall performance.1

Betaine Anhydrous is up next at 1.5g, which is used for its ability to increase muscular work capacity and improve power output. We like to see betaine at dosages between 1.5 and 2.5 grams. Agmatine sulfate is an ingredient that has the ability to increase Nitric Oxide production in the body. Dosages around 500mg have been proven to be effective, however here at FI we like seeing this ingredient around the 1g mark so we are good here.

L-Taurine is an amino acid that improves hydration and also has some strength output benefits. Taurine helps the body to regulate electrolytes inside and outside the muscle cell. We are getting 1g here, which is on par with what we typically see. Beet Root Juice Powder is typically used for its ability to increase blood flow as it is a natural source of nitrates. At 1g, we are getting the appropriate dose of this ingredient.

Pink Himalayan sea salt is included in this product at 500mg. This extra source of sodium will aid in hydration and help bring a better pump to your workout. Finally, we get 50mg of AstraGin® which helps aid in absorption of the ingredients. This is a great dose of AstraGin®.

Overall, we are getting a solid pump profile here with Juice Labz Pumpz. We don’t really have any ingredients that are under dosed in terms of the industry standards. This profile places all of its emphasis on the pump aspect, which is fine since this is a pump supplement. However, it would be a huge bonus to see a few focus/cognitive enhancing ingredients to really make this a well-rounded pump supplement.

Effectiveness

(8.8/10)

Juice Pumpz really provides a noticeable increase in pump during its use. Even at just 1 scoop, we were getting some noticeable benefits from using this product. With the L-Citrulline, GlycerPump and Nitrates, we expected it to provide good pumps in the gym and we were not disappointed. The pumps were full and lasted the whole workout. The worst part about some lesser-than pump products on the market today is that it is difficult to sustain the pump once you get it. We found it very easy with this supplement to keep a nice full pump throughout. Even when we were leaving the gym, it seemed to hang with us for a good while. Not only is that a good feeling, but it is also good for muscle recovery to keep that blood flowing post workout.

Taste

Watermelon: (8.5/10)

Juice Labz did a nice job with their watermelon flavor. I am not a big watermelon flavored fan, but this is one of the better watermelon flavors I have ever tried. This flavor does have a unique aspect to it due to the sweetness at the beginning coming from the watermelon, and the salty aftertaste due to the 500mg of pink Himalayan salt. That is the nature of this ingredient, and Juice Labz felt that the performance benefit of the pink Himalayan salt outweighed the negative impact it has on flavor. The guys and gals at FI are big users of including Pink Himalayan salt preworkout, so the flavor impact is nothing new to us. Here at Fitness Informant, we always place performance and profile over taste so we understand this move by Juice Labz completely

Mixability

(8.5/10)

This product mixed pretty reasonably when mixed using 8-10 ounces of water. There were some loose particles present in the bottom of the shaker, however it was not really a problem while drinking. There was some slight residue present on the side of the shaker but nothing too alarming. We find this supplement easy to drink and that it overall dissolved pretty well given the nature of the ingredients.

We used the Official Shaker Cup of Fitness Informant, The Ice Shaker.

Check out the video above for a full mixability test.

Value

(8.4/10)

Here with Juice Pumpz, you are getting a pretty quality add-on pump supplement. This product retails at $37 for 20 servings, coming in at just under $2 per serving. While the formula is pretty well for an add-on pump product, the price would be more justifiable if it contained ingredients that would allow for it to double as a stand-alone stim free preworkout. Even so, at this price point this is not a bad investment by any means. Juice Labz created a pump product that not only does what it is supposed to, but also meets a fair price point for the consumer.
