Grains of Paradise, also known as Aframomum melegueta, is part of the ginger family. It comes from the fruit and seeds of the plant. It is used for aiding in fat loss.

Uses of Grains of Paradise

Grains of Paradise is typically used in fat burning supplements, due to research suggesting that it may aid in fat loss. The best news regarding this research, is that it was done on humans. Grains of Paradise contains several compounds in them, two of them being 6-paradol and 6-gingerol. They have been shown to activate brown adipose tissue along with having other benefits. Brown fat is used to turn food in body heat. 

You’ll find Grains of Paradise in fat loss products, particularly thermogenics. It can be found in both stim-based and non stim-based fat burners.

Grains of Paradise is may also have anti-inflammatory benefits. While more studies need to be done, there is certainly promise.

Grains of Paradise is an easy add-on for any fat burning stack. You’ll mostly find it paired with other common fat burning ingredients such as L-Carnitine, Caffeine, Yohimbine, Synephrine, Hordenine and Higenamine. 

Side Effects of Grains of Paradise

Grains of Paradise should be taken every day. Depending on your sensitivity, it may cause some stomach irritation or urinary tract irritation.

Recommended Grains of Paradise Dosage

Since we take Grains of Paradise for the 6-Paradol and 6-Gingerol, be sure to make sure you check out what your extract is standardized for. If the % is 15 out of 100mg, you have 15mg or 6-paradol or 6-gingerol.

It is recommended that you start out at 30mg per day. Once you access your tolerance, you can increase the dosage to 80mg.
